• The Winter Night Shelter: From 2 February to 15 March 2026, Upton Vale (UV) and other local churches will host a shelter in Torquay - a place of refuge, nourishment, and rest for those sleeping rough during the coldest and darkness months of the year. Full details here.
• 'Hope Heats Ukraine': this initiative from the European Baptist Federation ensures that 500 local churches in Ukraine are equipped to provide shelter, warmth, and essential supplies to those in need this winter. 

Any donations given over the Christmas period, which are marked 'Christmas Appeal', will be split equally between The Winter Night Shelter and the 'Hope Heats Ukraine' initiative.

You can support our Christmas Appeal in the following ways:

Collection Boxes/Buckets at the back of the Church

Please put your donation in an envelope marked 'Christmas Appeal' and put it in the black box at the back of the Church. Alternatively, we will have 'Christmas Appeal' buckets at our Carols and Cake events on 30 November and at our Carol Service on 21 December and you can put your donation in a bucket.

We encourage all those who are paying tax to Gift Aid their giving, if possible. This government scheme allows us as a church to reclaim 25p for every £1 given. It will not cost you any extra.
