.Christ has set us free. He wants us to enjoy freedom. So stand firm. Don't let the chains of slavery hold you again. (Galatians 5:1 – New International Readers Version)

Pathways is based on the Celebrate Recovery Programme and is for anyone who thinks the answer to the following question is "yes".

In your life do you still live with a hurt, a habit or a hang-up?

Hurts” – emotional pains and traumas

Habits” – life controlling powers/addictions/compulsions

Hang ups” – e.g. fear, jealousy, anger, guilt

In our journey as disciples of Jesus we recognise that we all have hurts, habits and hang-ups that hold us back. These are destructive to our relationship with God, our relationship with others and destructive to self; things that rob us of our joy at being a new creation in Christ.

Pathways to Wholeness runs over the course of a year – it is based (like AA) on working through 12 steps that are underpinned by eight principles. It differs from secular programmes in that it is Christ centred and biblically based.

Pathways to Wholeness offers a safe and confidential place to share, a place to let God bring healing and peace as you work through your own recovery. It isn’t a place for therapy or counselling or about giving and getting advice. It’s not a quick fix or a place where other people are going to fix or rescue you.

The course runs with teaching in a large group then breaks off into smaller (single sex) groups to allow people to respond to what they have heard or to work together through the 12 steps.

All are welcome.

If you would like to express an interest in attending our next course or if you need further information please contact Andrew Green or David Jones at the Church Office on 01803 400403.
