Coffee Plus is our parenting group. Each term we look at parenting a different age group. 

We look at areas like - how to cope with all the pressures of daily living and still meet children's needs for affection? How to cope with children who won't eat or sleep or co-operate? How to help children grow in confidence and self-esteem? These are just some of the questions discussed.

We are part way through a course looking at parenting teenagers. The course looks at questions like 'how, when and where do you draw the line with teenagers'; how do you cope with all the arguing, swinging moods, annoying habits and outright rebellion...?!' 'how can parents and teenagers live respectfully together'. These are just some of the questions looked at during this course.

There is no suggestion that there are easy answers. What suits one parent may not work for another? But you will find respect at this group for the fact that you and your family are different. You will also find practical ideas to apply in your own way in your own family. The material used is produced by the Family Care Trust (www.familycaring.co.uk)

Each session starts at 9.45am and finishes by 11.30am. The course is held in Stokeinteignhead. Transport is available from Torquay and a crèche is provided.
