Coffee Plus is our parenting group. In the Spring term we look at parenting children who are 0-7 years, during the Summer term we look at parenting children aged 5-13 years and each Autumn we look at parenting teenagers.  

We discuss subjects like - how to cope with all the pressures of daily living and still meet children's needs for affection; how to cope with children who won't eat or sleep or co-operate;how to help children grow in confidence and self-esteem. The parenting teenagers course covers areas such as how to help teenagers enjoy life, how to encourage them to live confidently and how to be more effective in dealing with awkward situations. They also learn how to say 'no' respectfully and learn to deal with criticism.

There is no suggestion that there are easy answers to parenting. What suits one parent may not work for another. But you will find respect at this group and a recognition that all families are different. You will also find practical ideas to apply in your own way in your own family. Each session starts promptly at 9.30am and finishes by 11.45am and is held in Stokeinteignhead. Transport is available from Torquay and a crèche is provided.
